Letter from Norma Adams, fund-raising manager for CHAS.

The Children's Hospice Association Scotland, CHAS (registered charity no SC 019724), is delighted that Peter and Ann Hunt intend to support us while taking part in the Around the World in 80 Days Challenge starting in May, 2000.

Driving their Austin Healey 3000 Mark II Peter and Ann will circumnavigate the globe from London via Europe, Asia, North America and North Africa back to London.

A very exciting journey is in prospect for them and also for CHAS as they intend to raise as much money as they can to help fund the work we do with terminally ill children and their families at Rachel House.

Rachel House is Scotland's only hospice for children with life limiting conditions. Situated in Kinross in central Scotland, it provides specialist palliative support through respite care, emergency care and terminal care for some of the 1200 families in Scotland with a child or children suffering from a progressive terminal condition.

I hope that you will feel able to support Peter and Ann in any way you can to achieve their twin objectives of completing their journey of a lifetime and raising substantial funds for Rachel House. Your co-operation and endorsement of this undertaking will make a real difference to the quality of life for some of these young, but tragically short, lives.
